Art has always been an important part of my life. My formal training in the 60s, was at art college, and I then went on to work at various commercial design studios, later turning to freelance work.
I have exhibited a large selection of contempory work over the years at various galleries and shows in the UK. I have also taught adults at art workshops, some at my studio and also at Missenden Abbey Adult Learning Cantre.
My creativity has not been restricted solely to painting, but I have also enjoyed working and experimenting with other media such as clay, wood, silk, textiles, creative embroidery, watercolur and pastel.
Over the years my work has gone through varyng changes. My original abstract art work, was abstracted using mixed media and collage. The last four years, I have been using large canvases to work more freely, breaking away from the earlier restraints, and acheining a more simple contempory abstract style.
Some of my recent work has been influenced by the reflections in large glass buildings. I have adapted this idea using land and seascapes, with an architectural quality, using reflections of structures, using varying vanishing points within the perspective and often looking into infinity.
My paintings have been accepted for public and private collections in England, UK
